User permissions are based upon the level of responsibility assigned to the User. Most individuals will be "Basic Users" which will give them the basic access needed to fulfill compliance requirements (access to policies, updates, and yearly education courses).
Here is a breakdown of the User "Account-Level User Roles/Credentials" that can be assigned to each new User:
ACCOUNT-LEVEL USER ROLES:
Account Level Administrator - (Highest level access/Access across all Licenses)
Complete access and responsibility for billing information, Licenses, and Users. This is essentially a "Super Administrator." Generally, only one person should be given this Credential. The person initially listed as the contact when purchasing is the default Account Administrator.
Account Level Billing Contact - (Full level access within Account Billing)
This credential gives access to the Account Administration section which includes; (1) Account Contact, (2) Billing Contact, (3) Billing Details, and (4) Billing History. A User with this credential has permission to view and edit details within the above-mentioned section.
Account Basic Users - (Low-level access to just the essential needs within an Account)
This is the most common Credential and gives access to Policies, Forms updates, and yearly training. A typical Basic User is an entry-level or mid-level employee without decision-making authority.
LICENSE-LEVEL USER ROLES:
License Administrator - May perform all functions of an Account Administrator, but only for the License to which the User is assigned to. May not access or change billing information or add Users beyond what is established by the Account Administrator. This Credential is also assigned by default to the Licensee for each License.
License Manager - This Credential allows this User to fill out and assign certain Forms for other Users. A License manager may not change or edit any other User information. A typical License Manager might be the assistant manager at a particular office location (e.g., office with several branches/locations).
License Basic User - This is the most common Credential and is for access to Policies, Forms, updates, and yearly training. A typical Basic User is an entry-level or mid-level employee without decision-making authority.
