While both appear in the Overview screen of the EPICompliance Customer Console, they serve different but complementary purposes in tracking your organization’s compliance progress.
1. Overall Tasks gives you a summary view of all compliance activities within a module.
• It shows the total number of tasks that are Pending, Completed, or Past Due, without dividing them into specific categories.
• This is useful when you need a quick, high-level snapshot of your organization’s overall compliance standing.

2. Status by Category, on the other hand, provides a more detailed breakdown of those same tasks—organized by specific compliance categories.
• For example, under OSHA for Healthcare, you might see separate rows for Compliance Leadership & Oversight, Risk Assessment, Auditing & Monitoring, Safety & Ergonomics, Policies & Procedures, and Equipment Standards.
• Each category displays its own Pending, Completed, and Past Due counts, helping you pinpoint exactly where compliance work is up to date and where follow-up is needed.

In short, Overall Tasks tells you how your organization is doing as a whole, while Status by Category shows which specific areas are driving that performance.
Together, they give administrators a layered view — from broad compliance summaries to precise, actionable details.
